Manchester United lead chase for Christian Pulisic as Newcastle, Juventus and Atletico Madrid circle want-away Chelsea star

Manchester United are plotting a surprise move to sign Chelsea star Christian Pulisic before the end of the transfer window. According to The Athletic, the Red Devils are weighing up a loan move for the winger. While Newcastle United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid have all made approaches for the 23-year-old, it’s reported that Pulisic would prefer a move to Old Trafford. This is due to Pulisic’s need to play more regular first-team minutes with the World Cup in Qatar coming up at the end of the year. Chelsea are aware of the player’s frustrations and are open to allowing him to leave the club on loan. After bursting onto the European football scene between 2016 and 2019, Pulisic completed a £58million move to Chelsea in January of that year, before returning to Dortmund on loan for the rest of the campaign. Since moving to Stamford Bridge, the versatile attacker has made 117 appearances for the Blues, scoring 25 goals and providing 19 assists. Given that Pulisic can play on either flank, as well as playing as a number eight or number 10, the deal could make sense for all parties involved.
