Guardiola on Marmoush: 'We knew it'

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola recently expressed that the Citizens were well convinced of Omar Marmoush's talents after the Egyptian netted an impressive hat-trick against Newcastle in the Premier League this past weekend.
Marmoush was in inspired form against the Magpies on Saturday and appears to be settling well into new surroundings following his £59 million move from Eintracht Frankfurt during the January transfer window.
Reflecting on his performance, Guardiola hopes that Marmoush will handle the 'compliments' after a glittering performance at the Etihad.
"We knew it," Guardiola said, as per TimesLive.
"So in Germany, in Frankfurt, he made a good number [of goals]. Against Orient [City’s 2-1 FA Cup win last Saturday], had three clear chances, could not score.
"We knew sooner or later, the dynamic in the group was good and the performance was good, he could show what he is.
"Hopefully he can handle the compliments."
