'I cannot’: Arsene Wenger and John Terry joke about Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur are big rivals with Arsenal and Chelsea, and ex-Gunners manager Arsene Wenger and former Blues star John Terry have refused to admit on beIN SPORTS that Antonio Conte’s side can win the Premier League title this season.

Wenger has said that given that he is a former Arsenal manager, he cannot believe that Conte’s Tottenham could challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Terry is a Chelsea legend, and he has made it clear that due to his Stamford Bridge connections, he refuses to back Tottenham for the league title.

Wenger said when asked about Tottenham potentially winning the Premier League title this season: “Tottenham anyway, by my DNA, I cannot believe.”

Terry said: “Yours and mine.”

Could Spurs challenge for the title?

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Just like last season, Tottenham’s main aim this campaign has to be finish in the top four of the Premier League table and play in the UEFA Champions League again.

Yes, Spurs are doing well at the moment (although they lost the North London derby to Arsenal this weekend), but they are simply not strong enough to challenge defending English champions Manchester City for the title.

A top-four finish in the Premier League this season will be success for Tottenham.
