The Blues host the Cherries in what promises to be a physical battle at Goodison Park

Starting Lineups

Everton - Looks like Mykolenko is out injured, Young starts for him. Patterson is out as the Bobble had confirmed previously. New signing Alcaraz is in the squad too, as are youngsters Martin Sherif (striker), Roman Dixon (fullback) and Isaac Heath (winger).

Bournemouth - Iraola goes with former Everton target Jebbison upfront.

Preview

Everton have already tasted defeat twice at the hands of Bournemouth this season, but will be looking to turn things around under the watchful eye of David Moyes today as the two sides meet in an FA Cup Fourth Round tie.

The Blues have seen a turnaround in fortunes since bringing back their former boss after hitting a rut under Sean Dyche, and while Premier League survival remains paramount, there is nothing like a long cup run to galvanise the fanbase, especially given this is the last season the Toffees are playing at the hallowed Goodison Park.

The Cherries however are in scintillating form and will be in no mood to do the home side any sentimental favours. Under Andoni Iraola they have bounced back from a slowish start to stamp their credentials as European contenders.

Last Meeting

Since a big 3-0 win at Goodison against the Cherries early in the 2023-24 season, the Blues have lost three straight to Bournemouth since then, all close one-goal decisions. The last time on Merseyside was early this campaign when Iraola's side mounted an almost impossible comeback from two down with barely five minutes left to win the game 3-2 in time added on.
