Aston Villa and Everton target Matheus Cunha wants to join Wolverhampton Wanderers and work with manager Julen Lopetegui, according to 90min.

The report has claimed that Aston Villa, Everton, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers all are interested in signing Cunha from Atletico Madrid in the middle of the season.

Wolves have held talks with La Liga club Atletico over a move for the 23-year-old Brazil international forward, while Villa, Palace and Everton all have expressed an interest in the youngster.

According to the report, Cunha is keen to work with Lopetegui at Wolves, and agent Jorge Mendes is working to make sure that the Wanderers are at the front of the queue.

Could Wolverhampton Wanderers sign Matheus Cunha from Atletico Madrid?

If Matheus Cunha wants to join Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, then it is hard to see Aston Villa, Everton or Crystal Palace manage to sign him from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window.

Moreover, Mendes is trying to get the Brazilian to Wolves, and we all know how powerful and persuasive the super-agent is.

Now, of course, Atletico’s demands have to be met as well, but if the player wants a move to Wolves, then it is very likely that all three parties will come to an agreement.
