Liverpool’s hopes of completing an unprecedented quadruple are over after they suffered a shock FA Cup exit at the hands of Plymouth Argyle. The Reds arrived at Home Park off the back of a resounding 4-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, but Ryan Hardie’s second-half penalty sent the hosts through and knocked the Merseyside giants out at the fourth round stage.
