Joao Felix joined AC Milan on loan until the end of the season from Chelsea, but his ability to play European football has already come to an end.
The Serie A giants were held to a 1-1 draw in the Champions League at the San Siro on Tuesday (18 February), despite Santiago Gimenez having given his team the lead in the first minute.
Julian Carranza scored an equaliser in the 73rd minute, and that knocked AC Milan out of the competition as the scored was 2-1 on aggregate.
That means Felix will no longer be playing European football this season, just weeks after his move to Italy was confirmed.

Football Insider revealed that AC Milan are putting a long-term plan together to sign Chelsea's Felix on a permanent deal, and that's something that might be arranged in the summer transfer window.
Joao Felix struggled for AC Milan against Feyenoord
The 25-year-old had an underwhelming performance against Feyenoord as he struggled to influence the game with his creativity.
He completed just 67 percent of his passes, lost possession 17 times, and committed three fouls as his frustration appeared.
AC Milan might be out of the Champions League, but Chelsea still have the chance for European success as they remain part of the Europa Conference League.
Chelsea fans don't want Joao Felix back
Felix is currently under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2031 after signing a long-term deal in the summer.
However, Chelsea fans have no interest in seeing Felix return to the club at the end of the season.
