Club ‘serious’ about Sheffield United man, make offer – ‘Charmed’ player ‘not reluctant’ to move
On Tuesday, TV2 reported Club Brugge have made an offer to sign Sander Berge and their bid was not yet accepted by Sheffield United. It was also stated the midfielder would be open to joining them over a mid-table Premier League side because it gives him an opportunity to win trophies and play in the Champions League. Het Laatste Nieuws now claim Club Brugge are ‘serious’ about the Sheffield United player. It’s claimed they have submitted an offer of €15m plus bonuses. If the deal goes through, it will be a record signing for the Jupiler Pro League club. The Blades have rejected the proposal because they find it insufficient. Club Brugge, who tried signing the Norway international in January, have him on top of their wish list. It’ll soon be clear whether it is feasible for the midfielder to arrive in Belgium. The 24-year-old is ‘charmed’ by the Champions League and that he can play in it if he joins Club Brugge. The ex-Genk man is ‘not reluctant to return to Belgium’, while at the same time, hopes for an attractive Premier League side to come for him.
