“Don’t even talk about it” – Insistence player won’t be going to Leeds United in January

AC Milan were successful in overcoming tough competition from Leeds United to sign Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge in the summer transfer window. After the attacking midfielder completed a move to the San Siro, his agents confirmed the Whites’ proposal to their client was superior to the one made by the Serie A side. Back in September, Club Brugge CEO Vincent Mannaert revealed Leeds were willing to pay more than Milan, but the 21-year-old’s will to join the Rossoneri was decisive in the end. The Belgium international’s decision to join Stefano Pioli’s side has not paid off as he has struggled this season. He’s failed to score a goal and registered only one assist from 18 games in all competitions. De Ketelaere’s poor run has seen him linked with a move away from Milan and recent claims have mentioned Jesse Marsch’s side showing interest in January. Radio Rossonera interviewed Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti, and they asked him about the rumours linking De Ketelaere to Leeds. Responding to that, Pellegatti said: “Don’t even talk about it. Milan absolutely do not want to move him. A few days ago, I asked if we were going to go 10 or 7 in the market and was clearly told we don’t need a 10.” The post “Don’t even talk about it” – Insistence player won’t be going to Leeds United in January appeared first on Sport Witness.
