‘His talent is a joke’: Arsenal ace says 30-year-old is ‘crazy’ to see in training

Speaking on The Beautiful Game Podcast, Kido Taylor-Hart has been discussing Jack Wilshere after the 30-year-old returned to Arsenal.

The ex-Gunners midfielder rejoined Arsenal earlier this year in a coaching role, but before that he was training with the youth teams in order to keep his fitness up as he searched for a new club.

Taylor-Hart played alongside Wilshere at the time, and while the midfielder was just months away from retirement at that point, the 19-year-old says he was different gravy in training.

Wilshere’s still got it

Taylor-Hart had nothing but good things to say about the former England international.

“We were on tour with the U18s so he was there. He’s a very good coach, he coached us for a bit when he came back,”

‘Can he still play?” Taylor-Hart was asked.

“Yeah, when he came back originally he was playing with the 23s, he was training with us like every day. He’s a joke, his talent is a joke.

“He’s another one that is expressive, you saw that Norwich goal, the way he works is too quick, he’ll see a pass before it’s even there, it’s crazy.”

Such a shame

When you hear comments like this it makes you realise just what a shame it is that Wilshere’s career was taken from him.

Even with his injuries behind him, it sounds as though he was still one of the best players around the Arsenal camp in terms of technical ability, but sadly, his body just can’t keep up with his mind anymore.

In another world, Wilshere is gearing up to lead England into the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but the cruel reality is that he’s had to retire at the age of 30 and go into coaching.

Luckily, Wilshere seems to have found his feet in the coaching world, and hopefully he’ll help bring the next Jack Wilshere through at the Emirates.
