‘Look at him go’: Ian Wright stunned at how ‘quick’ one Leeds player is

Ian Wright raved about Leeds United attacking star Brenden Aaronson on Match of the Day on BBC One (11:22pm, August 6, 2022) after watching him in action against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday.

Leeds got the better of Wolves 2-1 at home in their opening league game of the season yesterday.

USA international Aaronson, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, was involved in both the goals for Jesse Marsch’s side.

It was pressure from the 21-year-old that forced Rayan Ait-Nouri to score an own goal.

Ian Wright on Leeds United’s Brenden Aaronson

Wright said about Aaronson on Match of the Day on BBC One (11:22pm, August 6, 2022): “When you think of Leeds, you think of intensity, pace and all the things that come with how they play, the energy.

“He is everything, he encompasses everything what Leeds are about. I think he is going to be probably one of those players that Leeds fans really take to very quickly.

“He is so energised, so quick, he is so busy around people. It’s his pace, his quickness with the ball, look at him go, look at him go here. Fantastic pace he has got.”

Encouraging display

In our view, Brenden Aaronson gave a very good account of himself on his Premier League debut for Leeds United against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

The youngster worked hard, created chances, and drove the team forward.

The 21-year-old connected well with his Liverpool teammates and looked at home at Elland Road.

Aaronson is only 21, and we can safely say that he will get better and improve in the coming weeks and months.

Leeds have signed a real gem in Aaronson, who could develop into one of the best attacking players in the Premier League.
