Manor Solomon sends 'important' message to Leeds fans after latest

Leeds winger Manor Solomon took to social media to send a message to the fans after their 4-0 Championship win over Watford on Tuesday (February 11).

The 25-year-old bagged a goal and an assist for Daniel Farke’s side as they went five points clear at the top of the Championship table.

Solomon wasn’t the only player to impress the fans, with many taking to social media to suggest Dan James should win ‘Player of the Season.’

James opened the scoring after just 20 minutes thanks to a miscommunication while playing out the back from the home side, before bagging his brace eight minutes later.

Solomon got in on the act in the 35th minute after his long-range effort took a heavy deflection off a Watford defender, leaving goalkeeper Egil Selvik stranded.

Joel Piroe rounded off the scoring in the 65th minute, securing all three points for Leeds in the race for promotion back to the Premier League.

Solomon has finally found his feet at Leeds, starting 17 of his 27 games across all competitions, scoring seven goals, and providing eight assists in his 1552 minutes of action.

The Tottenham loanee had previously vented his frustrations throughout the season, notably after their 1-1 draw with Blackburn.

Solomon is unlikely to have much of a future at Spurs after the loan signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window.

Delighted with the result and his own performance in the crucial win over Watford, Solomon took to Instagram to say: “What a team performance. Three important points away from home!”

Leeds will doubtless be hoping to continue their promotion charge on Monday (February 17) as they take on fellow challengers Sunderland.

Farke’s side will then face second-placed Sheffield United in what could prove to be an early title decider for either club.
