Report – Man Utd now told £83.3million will be accepted for signing

Ever since Ruben Amorim made the move to Man Utd, things haven’t really worked out well for him or his former club – Sporting CP. The Portuguese tactician has gone from being almost unbeatable to struggling to secure a single win these days.

Meanwhile, Sporting have also lost the kind of form they were showing under the Red Devils manager and it has been a lose-lose so far. Amorim though, would have known the magnitude of the task at his hand when he came to Manchester.

News – Man Utd expected to secure summer signing – £58.3m would get ideal man

It is worth remembering though that Amorim is working without a pre-season or a summer transfer window and next season is when he will actually be judged for what he has done with this struggling Manchester United team.

One player Amorim has been keen on bringing to Old Trafford from his former club is teenager Geovany Quenda.

Last month, A Bola revealed in a report that Man Utd were planning on signing the Portuguese versatile footballer for £49.9m in the summer.

Now, as per a report from the same publication – A Bola, with heavy competition for the teenage sensation, Sporting CP will now demand his full release clause of around £83.3million if Manchester United want to sign him.

Quenda is young and versatile to play both as a winger and a wing-back. His performances so far this season, especially under Ruben Amorim back when he was at Sporting CP were incredible and a move to Old Trafford could be the next step for his career.

It remains to be seen if Man Utd make an attempt to sign Quenda in the coming months but his asking price might end up putting the club off.

Let’s wait and see what the future holds for the teenager and if he wears a Red Devils jersey next season.
