Report: £58m Leeds & Eddie Howe target now wants to join AC Milan

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Leeds and Newcastle target Christian Pulisic now wants to join AC Milan.

Leeds & Newcastle could lose out to AC Milan

Well, unfortunately for the United States international, he has not received much playing time at Chelsea so far this season.

Pulisic has made just one start in the Premier League, which led to interest from Leeds and Newcastle as they considered giving him an escape route from his Stamford Bridge nightmare.

It was the Telegraph who revealed that the Magpies wanted to sign the £58m man, whereas Dean Jones claimed that Jesse Marsch wanted him at Elland Road.

Now, however, the Premier League duo could lose out to AC Milan.

Gazzetta dello Sport believe Pulisic would ‘gladly accept’ an offer from the Italian giants, who are eyeing a move for him as a result of his situation at Chelsea.

The 24-year-old is desperate for game time, and would jump at the chance of a move to the San Siro, where he would reunite with his old Chelsea teammates Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud.

AC Milan have more to offer than Leeds & Newcastle

While Leeds and Newcastle are both fantastic clubs steeped in history, there is no way either of them can compete with AC Milan at the moment.

The Italian giants – fresh from winning the Serie A title – can offer Pulisic Champions League football, and also the chance to immediately win silverware if they complete a January move.

Leeds and Newcastle are both on the up, but neither can offer European football to Pulisic at the moment, while their chances of winning a trophy are not as high in comparison to a top side like AC Milan.

Having said that, the American may be tempted to stay in England if an attractive offer is made, so be sure to keep an eye on the situation.
