Report: Leeds now want to sign Newcastle’s £30m ‘new top target’
Leeds United want Newcastle United target Goncalo Ramos
Newcastle and Nottingham Forest have already held talks over a move for Ramos, according to the report, which has added that Leeds and Crystal Palace are also monitoring his situation and have asked to be kept aware of his availability.
Paris Saint-Germain are keen on the 21-year-old striker as well, with Benfica willing to sell the youngster for £30 million, according to 90min.
On Thursday, well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Twitter that Ramos is Newcastle’s “new top target”, and that the Magpies are preparing a bid for him.
In our view, Goncalo Ramos would be a very good and exciting singing for Leeds United or Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
Ramos is 21 now, which means that the Portugal Under-21 international striker can only improve and get better in the coming years.
The striker made 17 starts and 12 substitute appearances in the domestic league last season.
Ramos scored seven goals and gave one assist in those matches
The attacker has also given one assist in one Portuguese league appearance for Benfica this campaign.
