Clement misses the point as Rangers boss refuses to accept failings

Rangers battened down the hatchet after the dismal defeat to Queen's Park with the Scottish Cup exit all but ending any chances of silverware for Philippe Clement.
There have been no updates on the future of the manager, no holding statement, nor anything from Patrick Stewart backing the man in charge.
Ahead of the trip to Tynecastle, Clement has spoken about his Rangers future with those who still believe in the Belgian in short supply.

Philippe Clement addresses question about being right man for Rangers
One of the first questions that Clement had to field was about whether or not Stewart had spoken to him after the game with the Belgian also asked if he was still the right man for the job:
“I do my job and clearly I didn’t do my job well the last game that we didn’t get the result.
“The week before, or the month before, clearly better and I’m very motivated to do my job very good this week to get the result at Hearts and all my focus is on that.”
Being motivated should be the bare minimum in terms of qualitities needed to be Rangers manager, unfortunately, there seem to be several others that Clement is lacking at the moment.
There was also a shortage of personal reflection over the result and that it is the squad who need to improve.
An apology and a degree of accountability wouldn't have gone a miss.
Why didn’t Rangers announce Clement’s job was safe?
Because of the size of the rebuild that Rangers are undertaking, the board must improve communication with fans in terms of what the short and long-term plans are.
With transparency comes understanding, even if decisions might not be wholly popular.
Rangers can't move forward with fans so willing to drag the club in the opposite direction until they get their way.
The problems clearly run much deeper than Philippe Clement, but this doesn't mean that he is the right man for the job either.
