Rangers have once again been linked with Fulham midfielder Josh Onomah and the former England youth international could be Michael Beale’s first Ibrox signing. News of reported interest in the 25-year-old Craven Cottage star – who’s been limited to only two Premier League appearances this season – broke this week. Rangers links to Fulham midfielder Josh Onomah intensify Now, Birmingham Live are claiming that the reported Rangers interest is concrete and that the Ibrox side are aiming to strike a loan deal in the January window. The report mentions that West Bromwich Albion had Josh Onomah posing in club colours ahead of announcing a switch but that the deal collapsed at the final moment in the summer. The Baggies are being tipped to still be in the hunt this time around but Rangers boss Michael Beale is mentioned as an interesting option in the weeks ahead. An excerpt from the report reads: “New Rangers boss Mick Beale, who was keen on Onomah in the summer having taken over at Queens Park Rangers, has already lined up a move for him as he looks to bring the former Spurs youngster to Ibrox on a loan basis.” Rangers boss Michael Beale has also admitted that Rangers do have cash to spend in January if the right options become available and that he already has his eyes on one or two players. Could one of them be former Spurs, Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa midfielder Josh Onomah? At 6ft1 the midfielder is an imposing presence and Onomah’s time breaking through at Spurs and with the England youth international set-up suggests that there’s plenty of talent there. Meanwhile, the success of one Premiership trio has proven an Ibrox director right, but not for the reasons alluded to.
