Everton are eyeing Bamba Dieng and Frank Lampard is planning to study footage of the Marseille attacker this week.

The Toffees are in the market for attacking additions and really need to bolster Lampard’s front line before the transfer deadline.

Richarlison has been sold to Tottenham Hotspur whilst Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been ruled out through injury.

That means Everton are woefully short of attacking options and multiple strikers are ideally needed in the coming weeks.

Everton are eyeing Bamba Dieng

One target on Everton’s radar is Marseille attacker Dieng, with the Toffees considering ramping up their interest.

The Express now report that Everton boss Frank Lampard is now set to study video footage of Dieng in action as a move is weighed up.

It’s stated that Dieng has been offered to Everton through intermediary agents working to get him out of Marseille.

Igor Tudor has left Dieng out of the Marseille squad and the French club want to sell him for around £15million this summer.

Dieng would prefer to stay at Marseille but the Ligue 1 club are adamant that he will be sold.

Dieng isn’t interested in a move to Fulham and he now faces a wait as Lampard weighs up whether Everton are going to make a move.

The Senegalese forward has been likened to compatriot and former Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane, which is pretty bold stuff.

Dieng, 22, can play up front or out wide and has racked up seven goals and three assists in 30 Ligue 1 outings.

The Daily Mail claim that Leeds United and Celtic also want Dieng, with Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest also having a look.

It seems that the ball is now in Everton’s court though, with Lampard weighing up whether Dieng can really make an impact in the Premier League.
