Report: Opponents are trying to tempt ‘special’ Tottenham and Celtic target towards England move
Tottenham and Celtic want Oscar Gloukh and the Maccabi Tel Aviv ace has now been urged to move to the Premier League.
Gloukh has emerged as a top young talent and a move away is expected in the very near future.
The 18-year-old has been sensational this season, racking up three goals and four assists in just five league appearances for Maccabi.
Gloukh also excelled for Israel Under-19’s at this summer UEFA Under-19 European Championships, with former Israel international Gil Vermouth hailing him as ‘special’.
Tottenham and Celtic want Oscar Gloukh
Unsurprisingly, transfer rumours have been surrounding Gloukh for a while now.
Celtic have a real history with Israeli player, with Liel Abada currently in the squad and the likes of Rami Gershon, Nir Bitton, Beram Kayal and Hatem Abd Elhamed featuring for the Bhoys in recent times.
That may tempt Gloukh to Parkhead but the playmaker is now being told to move to the Premier League.
Walla in Israel now report that Gloukh has been approached by Ireland Under-21 players who told him they hope to see him play in the Premier League.
Israel’s Under-21’s took on Ireland this week and the two squads allegedly met up after the game for drinks.
That’s where some members of the Ireland squad were talking to Gloukh and selling the idea of playing in the Premier League.
Tottenham do have a player in that squad with goalkeeper Josh Keeley currently part of the Ireland Under-21’s.
If Tottenham do come calling for Gloukh, it will be hard for him to say no – and Celtic may need their pas and present Israeli contingent to sell him on a move to Parkhead.
