So it turns out Reg didn't really give a shit, and neither would we if we hadn't gone and lost Aji Alese to injury. So what positives can Gav and Chris take from that forgettable fixture?

What's the crack?

  • Aye we lost it's terrible and very sad we're obviously devastated... but fear not, it's not a league game so it doesn't count.
  • Is it bad that we'd rather focus on the league? We don't think so.
  • Aleksic got a goal for his troubles which only a few of us will remember admittedly but who else stood out? Did any of our young lads impress?
  • A bad day for Dan Neil in particular, which is rare nowadays, but did he really need to be on the pitch?
  • Enzo Le Fee got a nice reveal at a fairly empty and freezing Stadium after the announcement the night before the game; it looks like we may need a few other faces though.
  • Aji Alese went down and had to be stretchered off the pitch in considerable pain; it's not looking great for the lad and we're gutted for him, so what do we do in the meantime?
  • Last of the summer Wynn; Chris gets wistful and nostalgic about the magic of the FA Cup again but he has good reason to. It's just not the competition it was...
  • All this more! Burnley next! Ha'way the Lads!
