Fabrizio Romano shares where Tottenham's Paratici was yesterday, could be good news - our view
Last week, it was reported that Tottenham Hotspur still held out hope of signing Alessandro Bastoni.
The Inter Milan defender’s agent verbally committed his future to the San Siro outfit earlier in June, amid speculation of potentially joining Spurs.
However, Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur revealed last week that a transfer to North London was still very possible despite those comments from his representative.
And Fabrizio Romano might have some positive news.
According to the reliable Italian journalist, Tottenham transfer guru Fabio Paratici was in Milan yesterday.
And given that it’s the same city as Bastoni plies his trade, there’s reason to be cheerful.
Romano made no mention of Bastoni, claiming that other players’ futures was on the agenda, but if Paratici genuinely was in the Italian city then it does seem plausible that discussions regarding the Inter powerhouse could’ve possibly taken place.
The Lilywhites will be signing a central defender this summer. That’s guaranteed.
And it does seem like Bastoni is very high on the list of priorities – or at least was, when the speculation about him joining Tottenham spiked a couple of weeks ago.
Nobody’s saying that because Paratici was in Milan, Spurs are definitely signing the Italy international because, obviously, things are never that simple.
But considering that this transfer was dead in the water after his agent’s comments, Terreur’s claim, coupled with this development from Romano, is bringing it back to life somewhat.
