'He didn't have any belief in me': Dier sends IG post about transfer-listed Tottenham player
Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur beat Southampton 4-1 on Saturday on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season, with Dier getting his name on the scoresheet.
Whilst the Englishman didn’t score any clean sheet points, he fetched points for scoring and would have made many people who picked him in FPL very happy.
A number of Tottenham players will be popular picks this season in fantasy football because big things are expected of them and, at the end of the day, they have a certain deadly and record-breaking duo, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, at their disposal.
Whilst Son registered an assist to his name yesterday, the 2021/22 Premier League Golden Boot winner and Kane himself didn’t get on the scoresheet, which makes Tottenham’s four goals and win even better.
Nonetheless, following the conclusion of the club’s win over Southampton, Dier shared that he told Tanganga to put him in the team, but he didn’t listen.
TANGANGA TO LEAVE TOTTENHAM
Tanganga wasn’t part of the Tottenham squad that won yesterday, with the hard-hitting defender seemingly set to head for the exit door.
There are suggestions that he is confident of sealing a deal with Italian giants, AC Milan, this summer, who won the Serie A title last season.
But Jose Mourinho, who brought through Tanganga at Hotspur Way, is keen to bring the player to Rome – if he does move, then he will have two fellow Englishman in Tammy Abraham and Chris Smalling already thriving at the club.
Either way, it seems as though Tanganga’s time is up and he is set to leave the club before the summer transfer window slams shut on September 1.
Alongside Dier, Christian Romero and Ben Davies started in a back three, with summer loan capture, Clement Lenglet, coming off the bench for his debut against Southampton.
