Jurgen Klopp reacts to Arsenal win v Tottenham Hotspur in North London derby

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are “outstanding” after watching “glimpses of their game” against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Klopp has said that Liverpool will try to win their Premier League game against Arsenal next weekend.

The Reds played out a 3-3 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield in the league on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool will face Rangers at home in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening before taking on Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League next weekend.

Arsenal were also in action today.

Mikel Areta’s side got the better of Tottenham 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby.

The Gunners are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 21 points from eight matches, four points ahead of second-placed and defending English champions Manchester City, who have played seven games.

Meanwhile, Liverpool currently find themselves ninth in the standings with 10 points from seven matches.

Klopp said: “I know then Arsenal is coming and we saw glimpses of their game against Tottenham, they are outstanding in the moment so that is obviously not an easy game. But we will give it a proper try.”
