Brentford and Watford have bids rejected for Championship ace, West Ham now leading the race
Brentford and Watford have both had bids for Hull City’s Keane Lewis-Potter rejected, leaving West Ham in pole position, as per a report from 90min. Lewis-Potter is a name constantly in transfer headlines this summer. The Hull City and England u21 man first emerged on Premier League clubs’ radar at the start of the year and his form towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign has seen him remain on those radars. West Ham have long been linked with the 21-year-old. Reports last month said that the Hammers were rivalling Bournemouth, Brentford and Southampton for his signature, with Everton having recently enquired about the attacker. Now though, an emerging, and interesting report from 90min has revealed that Brentford and Watford have both had bids rejected for Lewis-Potter, making West Ham the ‘current front-runners’. Watford bidding for Lewis-Potter is ambitious, given their relegation from the Premier League last season. Brentford meanwhile are long-term admirers of the Hull City man, but they continue to fail in pursuit of Championship transfer targets having seen bids for Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson rejected earlier in the year too.
