If Bradford City make the play offs today, this group of players could well go down in history. But whatever the outcome, this weekend you can watch some genuine Bradford City legends in action.

That's because, on Sunday afternoon, a charity football match between Leeds United and Bradford City legends is being held at Silsden FC.

Proceeds from the event will go to the chosen dementia-related causes of Allan Gilliver, who has been battling the condition for more than a decade. Allan, affectionately known as Gilly, played for Bradford City across two spells in the 1970s.

The match takes place at Silsden AFC' stadium, kicking off at 2pm.

Amongst those confirmed so far for the Bantams are Lee Duxbury, Gary Jones, Dean Windass, Edinho, James Hanson, Filipe Morais, Luke O’Brien, Simon Ramsden, Graeme Tomlinson, Paul Bolland, Scott Kerr, Kevin Sanasy and Lee Elam.

The team will be managed by Terry Dolan.

Those lining up for Leeds will include Jermaine Beckford, Ross McCormack, Bobby Davison, Andy Couzens, Jamie Forrester, Paul Green, David Norris, Dylan Kerr and Ben Parker. The manager is John Stiles.

A spokesperson said: “The event is raising funds for some great causes and hopefully will also raise more awareness of this debilitating condition.”

Admission to the event is £5 for adults, and £2 for under-16s. Alcohol, soft drinks and food will be available.
