The Eagles bring to an end a hectic week of fixtures with a short trip across the river to take on Fulham with a real opportunity of continuing an excellent run of form.

MATCH INFORMATION

  • 3pm – 27th April 2024
  • Craven Cottage, Stevenage Road, London SW6 6HH

PREVIOUS MEETING

It more recently seems to be a common occurrence playing Fulham towards the end of the season, and our previous trip was no different. The two sides played out an entertaining score draw at Craven Cottage last May.

Odsonne Edouard gave the visitors the lead on 34 minutes before the hosts levelled courtesy of converted spot kick by Aleksandar Mitrovic right on the half time whistle. Buoyed by the equaliser, Fulham took the lead on 61 minutes thanks to that man Mitrovic but a rare Joel Ward strike in the last ten minutes of the game ensured the visitors went home with a share of the points.

WHO SCORED MAN OF THE MATCH – Willian (8.0)

ONE TO WATCH

RODRIGO MUNIZ CARVALHO

FORMER CLUBS – Desportivo Brasil, Flamengo, Coritiba (loan), Middlesbrough (loan)

The 22-year-old striker has been a revelation at Craven Cottage this season and his loan spell in the Championship at Middlesbrough seems to have given him the confidence on know-how in English football. Admittedly, he has had a couple of quiet recent games but will remain a threat.

KEY CLASH

WILL HUGHES v ANDREAS PEREIRA

The Palace midfielder has been excellent in recent games and has built up a really good partnership in the middle of the park with Adam Wharton. He will likely be up against the former Manchester United man who since being capped by Brazil has found some real form.

THE NUMBERS

Having won 2 of their first 3 Premier League games against Palace, Fulham have won just 1 of their past 8 against the Eagles. Despite this, they are currently unbeaten in 4 against their fellow Londoners.

Fulham have won 4 of their past 5 London derbies in the Premier League, as many as their previous 44 beforehand (D9 L31).

Palace’s 1-0 win at Liverpool in their last away match ended a run of 10 Premier League games without a win on the road (D4 L6). They last won consecutive such matches in April 2023.

Andreas Pereira has created 80 chances for his team-mates in the league this season, the most on record for a Fulham player in a campaign (since 2003-04). He also has 7 assists, with Simon Davies the last Fulham player to get more in a Premier League season (eight in 2007-08).

Michael Olise has scored in his past 3 Premier League London derby appearances – netting 4 goals in total. The only Palace player to score in 4 in a row is Andrew Johnson in 2004-05.

TEB PREDICTION

This one promises to be an entertaining match up with both teams having secured a mid-table finish this season and the pressure is off. Expect both teams to play with some freedom and a real chance for Palace to grab a fourth victory in a row as this could go either way. Of course, we are backing the Eagles but fatigue could play a part after their recent exertions.

FINAL SCORE: 2-1 to Palace
