Nottingham Forest take on Manchester City today and we’ve looked at a predicted team that Nuno Espirito Santo might go with.

Forest have to start winning football matches if they’re to secure their Premier League status for another season.

Forest have just four games of this season remaining to save themselves and today won’t be an easy contest.

The Reds were beaten 2-0 by Everton last weekend and they need to park that performance and focus on today.

Ahead of the game with City, we’ve looked at how Forest might line up against the Citizens.

Nottingham Forest predicted team vs Manchester City

Matz Sels will definitely start the game in goal as the Reds prepare to face the reigning champions today.

The back four in front of him will probably be quite familiar too in terms of last week’s game against Everton.

We think Neco Williams and Ola Aina will both keep their places in the team and operate at full-backs.

Moussa Niakhate came into the fold last week and we think he will start today alongside Murillo.

In midfield, we anticipate a return for Ryan Yates and he will likely captain the team once again.

Alongside him, Danilo has been good in recent weeks and he will probably get the nod to play.

Leading the Forest line, will likely be Chris Wood, with Taiwo Awoniyi yet to return to training.

Behind him, we anticipate a return to the starting eleven for Anthony Elanga after he made the bench against Everton last week.

The former Manchester United man will likely play on the right, with Callum Hudson-Odoi operating on the left.

Morgan Gibbs-White will almost certainly play as the number 10 this afternoon.

Predicted Forest team

Who else is in contention for Forest vs Manchester City?

Well, the substitute goalkeeper will likely be Matt Turner, with Odysseas Vlachodimos not making the squad again.

At the other end of the pitch, Divock Origi and Rodrigo Ribeiro will provide the cover with Awoniyi still injured.

In midfield, Ibrahim Sangare and Nicolas Dominguez will likely be on the bench.

Defensively, there aren’t too many options with Willy Boly still injured.

That will likely mean that Andrew Omobamidele is the only central defensive option, with Harry Toffolo providing full-back cover.
