AFC Wimbledon to host eighth-tier Ramsgate, Wrexham land Yeovil tie and Scarborough could face Blackpool in FA Cup second round draw

Eighth-tier Ramsgate have earned themselves an away trip to AFC Wimbledon for the second round of the FA Cup.

The first round of the FA Cup saw plenty of upsets, including Aldershot’s 7-4 win over Swindon Town, with the non-league visitors taking an incredible 7-0 lead before the Robins tried to claw themselves back into the game.

Now, Aldershot and the other clubs left in the competition have discovered their next opponents following this Sunday’s FA Cup second round draw.

Aldershot will face Stockport County at home as a reward for their seven goals against Swindon.

Kent-based Ramsgate, who beat National League Woking 2-1 on Saturday, have been drawn a dream away tie against League Two Wimbleon.

Johnnie Jackson’s side beat League One Cheltenham Town 5-1 to advance to the next round.

Meanwhile, Blackpool could face another non-league side in Scarborough Athletic FC should the former win their replay against Forest Green following their 1-1 draw.

Fellow eighth-tier side Cray Valley Paper Mills face League One Charlton at The Valley in a local derby on Sunday evening, with just four miles separating the clubs.

Should they cause an upset and advance to the next round, they will travel to Gillingham, which will also be a tasty affair if the Addicks avoid a banana slip.

Oxford United are currently the highest ranked team in the draw and they'll face Slough Town or Grimsby Town.
