Former Aberdeen Boss Ready For Managerial Return

Neil Warnock is ready for another job in the dugout before the season ends, despite his disappointing stint at Aberdeen, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The experienced boss headed north of the border to take over Aberdeen earlier this year, but despite getting the Dons scoring goals, suffered with a leaky backline.

He departed Pittodrie straight after guiding Aberdeen into the semi-final of the Scottish Cup though in what was a surprise development.

Warnock, 75, however is not closing the book on this season entirely and has already had enquiries.

He is standing ready to make a return to management if he is made an acceptable offer.

The manager could be of interest to a number of sides battling to avoid relegation this season and won plaudits for rescuing Huddersfield Town last term.

Huddersfield were in 16th spot in the Championship when they replaced Warnock in September last year.

They are now inside the Championship’s relegation zone, having sacked the manager they appointed to replace Warnock.

Aberdeen meanwhile have still not made an appointment, despite Warnock insisting they were close to one when he left.
