Alan Brazil has now been sharing his prediction for Arsenal's monumental visit to face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena tonight.

In football they always say beware of the 'wounded animal' and perhaps that is the position of Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side right now.

Defeat against Aston Villa has completely soured the mood, showing how much harm just one slip up can cause when you're up against Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's side are so unforgiving in the final months of the season, when they often turn into a ruthless winning machine.

And whilst Arsenal have still enjoyed an outstanding 2024 and season overall, it almost feels as if everything has become an uphill battle overnight.

That being said, a win against Bayern Munich tonight would do wonders for Arsenal's self belief, and in all probability would actually book another date against Man City.

And with that potential semi-final in mind, Alan Brazil has been sharing his thoughts on tonight's tie over on talkSPORT.

Alan Brazil thinks Arsenal can hold onto a win against Bayern if they go ahead tonight

Considering Bayern's season as a whole under Thomas Tuchel, Alan Brazil is optimistic that Arsenal can progress tonight.

The pundit called the fixture 'last chance saloon' but thought Arsenal could set up an all English semi-final.

He explained: "I just think, I can't help thinking about Bayern and the way the season has gone.

"I know it's last chance saloon but I think if Arsenal start well and get their noses in front I think they can hold on, I really do.

"I know Bayern will have their chances but with the two boys at the back I still think Arsenal can do it. I think it's two tight games and I think it could be an all English semi-final."

Mikel Arteta has to get his team selection spot on

Of course, Arsenal's fortunes will depend on the team Mikel Arteta picks tonight.

The Spaniard doesn't often get it wrong, but many felt as if the line up against Aston Villa wasn't sufficient.

The absence of both Jorginho and Thomas Partey was puzzling, with both fans and pundits alike feeling as if one had to play.

Of course, that's all with the benefit of hindsight, and had Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Jesus finished their chances it could have been a different story for Arsenal

That being said, Mikel Arteta would be well-advised to replace Oleksandr Zinchenko with the best one-on-one defender in the squad tonight.
