Kompany has left his position as Anderlecht boss and looks set for a surprise return to English football. The Belgian looks set to become Burnley’s new boss with the Clarets finally closing in on a permanent replacement for Sean Dyche. Kompany is a huge name and Burnley will hope that he is the man to take them back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. Kompany will of course have great links to Manchester City and may well be able to bring some loan signings to Burnley. Harwood-Bellis has already played under Kompany on loan at Anderlecht and they could now reunite at Burnley. James Tarkowski is on his way out of Burnley this summer with 20-year-old Harwood-Bellis emerging as a potential loan replacement. This comes just days after Sky Sports reported that Celtic are keen to sign Harwood-Bellis this summer. Celtic are hoping to keep Cameron Carter-Vickers but still want another defender to challenge Carl Starfelt. Harwood-Bellis could be that man for Celtic but Ange Postecoglou must now scrap with Kompany for a deal this summer. That’s somewhat ironic given that Craig Bellamy claimed Kompany wanted to bring Postecoglou to Anderlecht to work with him. The two coaches would now go head-to-head in the race for Harwood-Bellis, who has been hailed as a ‘warrior’ by Tony Mowbray.
