April 8 – World champions Spain kicked off their Euro 2025 qualifying campaign with a 7-0 demolition job of Belgium as FC Barcelona's Salma Paralluelo starred, scoring a hat-trick.
Considered by some as the best player in the world, Paralluelo was rampant against a lethargic Belgium and carved open the opposing defence with consummate ease to impress upon everyone once again that Spain with their technical expertise and attacking prowess will be favourites to win the European championship next year in Switzerland.
