'We'll see': Star suggests he's tempted by Tottenham move amid Salah comparisons

Club Brugge winger Andreas Skov Olsen admits he would be tempted by the chance to play in the Premier League after being linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, speaking to TipsBladet

If Spurs were keeping tabs on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg during Denmark’s UEFA Nations League clash with France over the weekend, then it’s hard to imagine that a dazzling performance from one of the midfielder’s team-mates at the Parken Stadium would have gone unnoticed.

Christian Eriksen was named Man of the Match after Denmark outclassed the reigning World Champions. But Skov Olsen, scorer of the second goal in a deserved 2-0 win, would have come a very close second.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly like Denmark winger Andreas Skov Olsen

“It’s hard to say. Many things can happen,” one-time Rangers target Skov Olsen said when asked to comment on reports that Tottenham watched him with interest on Sunday evening.

“I believe that Club Brugge know that I will not be there forever. (Moving to Belgium) is a step that I needed, and then we’ll have to see what happens in the future.

“It is, of course, the Premier League. It’s the biggest thing to be able to play there one day, but I haven’t thought that far yet.”

The former Bologna winger was a constant thorn in France sides in Copenhagen; leaving Ferland Mendy and Benoit Badiashile with a nasty case of twisted blood with every snake-hipped dribble. Skov Olsen’s form at club level has been equally impressive. Six goals and three assists in just 12 games so far this season.

“In (Denmark manager Kasper) Hjulmand’s 4-3-3 system, in which he can play like a real winger, he is a top player,” Danish reporter Klaus Egelund explains (Het Nieuwsblad).

“He is an Eden Hazard type. But, since he’s left-footed and plays on the right, you could better compare him to (Arjen) Robben or (Mohamed) Salah.

“Like them, he is a fast player who likes to come inside and then shoot at goal with great precision. That is his great strength.”
