Blackpool are reportedly keen on Rochdale striker Devante Rodney, according to Football Insider.
Blackpool aren’t the only club who have been credited with an interest in the National League forward though, with Bristol Rovers, Carlisle United, Exeter City, Shrewsbury Town and Wycombe Wanderers also mentioned as potential suitors.
Rodney, 25, has played in the Football League for Salford City, Port Vale and Walsall in the past.
Here is a look at three alternatives who the Tangerines should consider…
Will Evans
Newport County will face a battle to keep hold of the attacker this summer. Evans has been a key player for the Exiles since joining them back in 2022 and has scored 29 goals in 105 games, 25 of which have come in this campaign.
The 26-year-old played for Bala Town and Cardiff Metropolitan University before linking up with his current club. He would be worth a punt by Blackpool and would bolster their options up top.
Lee Bonis
He has been prolific for Larne over recent times and helped them win the NIFL Premiership last year for the first time. The 24-year-old has found the net on 28 occasions this term.
The Portadown-born man is under contract until 2026 but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see teams in England take more of an interest in him in the next transfer window. Lincoln City are interested, as per the Belfast Telegraph, but the Seasiders should join the chase.
Harry Caldwell
The former Reading, Hull City and Grimsby Town man is worth a look by Blackpool. He has been an important player for Southend United in the fifth tier since moving to Roots Hall in 2022.
Caldwell has fired 22 goals in 62 outings for the Shrimps to date. Football Insider claim Bolton Wanderers, Oxford United and Rotherham United like him and the Seasiders should join the queue.
