Cheltenham Town striker George Lloyd is attracting interest from clubs in both League One and League Two, as detailed in a report by GloucestershireLive.

Cheltenham Town have a big summer ahead of them now following their relegation to the fourth tier.

Lloyd, 24, is out of contract at the end of June and is poised to become a free agent as things stand.

GloucestershireLive claim he has been offered a new deal by the Robins but is ‘expected’ to head out the exit door.

Losing Lloyd for nothing would be a blow for Cheltenham Town as they prepare for life back in League Two.

However, he hasn’t been able to make a big impact this season and has only scored two goals in 29 games in all competitions.

His impending exit would free up space and funds in their squad to bring in a new option in attack.

Lloyd has risen up through the academy ranks at Cheltenham Town and has played 136 matches for them in all competitions to date, chipping in with 11 goals.

He helped them gain promotion to League One back in 2021 under former boss Michael Duff.

The Gloucester-born man has also had loan spells away in the past at Hereford, Port Vale and Grimsby Town to boost his development.

Lloyd has a big decision to make on his future amid attention from other clubs and a change of scene may do him good ahead of next term.

As for Cheltenham Town, it remains to be seen at this stage whether Darrell Clarke will be staying put.

The former Bristol Rovers and Walsall man wasn’t able to keep them up and their fate was sealed on the final day following their loss at Stevenage.
