Both are due to return to their parent clubs in the summer but the Shrimps are keen to keep them.

Khumbeni was given the green light to leave Bolton on loan earlier this winter to get some more experience under his belt.

The Trotters signed him in 2022 following his exit from Norwich City and he has since played twice for their first-team under Ian Evatt. He spent time with AFC Fylde in the National League earlier this season before making the switch to the Mazuma Stadium.

As for Adams, he linked up with Wigan a couple of years ago from Eastleigh in non-league. The 19-year-old hasn’t been able to break into the senior team at the DW Stadium yet but his temporary move to Morecambe has given him the chance to get some game time in the Football League which will help boost his development.

Brannan’s side are sat in 10th in the fourth tier table and still have a decent chance of getting into the play-offs if they can hit some form. They are only outside the top seven by three points with 13 games left to play this term.
