Crewe Alexandra won 1-0 away at Morecambe in their last League Two outing. Striker Elliott Nevitt scored their winner at the Mazuma Stadium and they’ll be hoping to emerge victorious against Grimsby Town too.

Preston North End loan midfielder Lewis Leigh was also sent off against the Shrimps. The Railwaymen are sat in 5th place in the table as they eye promotion to League One.

“The Cheshire club have lost once in their last five but that was a worrying 3-0 home loss to relegation threatened Forest Green Rovers earlier this month.

“Grimsby Town will fancy their chances of getting something against the Railwaymen and they are fighting for their lives right now. The Mariners should have enough to stay up this term and have a cushion still between them and the bottom two.

“I think Crewe may just edge this one though as David Artell heads back to his old club.“
