League Two side hoping to sign more Nottingham Forest players this summer

Morecambe boss Ged Brannan has said he is hoping to get a ‘couple’ more Nottingham Forest players on loan this summer.

Morecambe swooped to land attacker Julian Larsson from the Premier League side in the January transfer window.

The League Two club are aiming to use their contacts at the City Ground for further potential additions in the future.

Brannan has said, as per a report by the Lancaster Guardian:"We've got a really good relationship with Nottingham Forest so, hopefully, we might be able to get a couple of their players."

Morecambe want more Nottingham Forest players

The fact Morecambe have a good relationship with Nottingham Forest is beneficial for their transfer dealings down the line. It benefits both parties involved.

Brannan gets more options to pick from in his squad and the Reds’ younger players get game time in the Football League.

The Shrimps were relegated from League One last year and it has since been an eventful season for the North West outfit.

They lost their former manager Derek Adams to Ross County earlier in this campaign along with their head of recruitment Greg Strong. Nevertheless, Brannan has come in and steadied the ship.

Morecambe are 10th in the table and are still very much in the race for the play-offs. They are three points off the top seven with 13 games left to play this term.

They drew 1-1 at home to Grimsby Town last time out with attacker Jordan Slew on the scoresheet for them in the second-half against the Mariners.

Next up for the Shrimps is a tricky away trip to Cheshire to take on automatic promotion chasing Crewe Alexandra as they look to build some momentum ahead of the end of season run-in.
