Lyon owner John Textor fractures elbow skateboarding

John Textor the owner of Olympique Lyonnais has had to undergo surgery on a fractured elbow after falling over while skateboarding last Saturday according to a report by Globo.
The American businessman who also owns the Brazilian club Botafogo and has shares in Crystal Palace was in Brazil attending a national skateboarding competition, where he was watching the efforts of Pedro Vita, a 14-year-old who represents Botafogo in the sport.

Textor who had skateboarded when he was younger was pictured over the weekend doing tricks on a half-pipe to the applause of those gathered, but it appears that the 58-year-old suffered a fall and injured himself at the event.
On the Sunday, Textor underwent surgery at the São Lucas Hospital and was unable to attend the match between Botafogo and Juventude. His club managed to win 5-1 in his absence meaning that the club has a record of two wins and a loss to start the season.
