Report – Chelsea ready to bid £59.6million to beat Man Utd to key signing

Chelsea and Man Utd are in the race to hire the services of Juventus center back, Gleison Bremer, in the summer transfer window.

The Blues will be without veteran Thiago Silva next season, on the other hand, Raphael Varane is set to leave United in the summer.

In such a scenario, the Premier League duo are looking to replace their experienced stars and Juve’s Brazilian star is in the lime light.

As per reports in Italy (via Tutto Juve), Chelsea are ready to bid £59.6million (70 million euros) to beat Man Utd to Bremer.

The Stamford Bridge out have identified the Samba star as the ideal replacement for his compatriot, Thiago Silva.

Bremer has a solid campaign for the Old Lady in which he helped them win the Coppa Italia. Moreover, the Bianconeri also earned qualification back to the UEFA Champions League.

The dilemma for Chelsea and Man Utd is that both will not be able to offer CL football to Bremer in the next campaign.

As per yesterday’s version of La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the South American center half may turn down a move to Old Trafford as they will not take part in Europe’s premier competition in the 2024-25 season.

Therefore, it will not come as any surprise if the 27-year-old turns down the chance to move to Chelsea.

The Blues have a foot in the Europa League after finishing 6th in the Premier League but they will lose the place if Man Utd beat Man City in the FA Cup final today.
