Julen Lopetegui has met with West Ham owner David Sullivan, talkSPORT understands.

Former Wolves manager Lopetegui is one of the front-runners to replace David Moyes at London Stadium when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Lopetegui, who has also managed Spain, has been out of work since leaving Wolves last summer.

Meanwhile, Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim flew to the UK on Monday for face-to-face talks with the Hammers.

The Portuguese was linked with the Liverpool job but is no longer considered in the frame to replace Jurgen Klopp.

The club are yet to make a final decision on their next manager as has Lopetegui who has also held discussions with AC Milan about replacing Stefano Pioli.

West Ham have yet to announce that Moyes is set to leave the club but last weekend's 5-2 defeat at Crystal Palace and their recent Europa League exit at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen appear to have added weight to the claim.
