Sunderland U21s do the club proud and progress in the PL2 Playoffs with a thumping win at Eppleton over Wolves. Here's how Andy rated the Lads!

Adam Richardson: 5/10

Made an absolute howler to gift the visitors the lead but was pretty good other than that, including an early near post save.

Ellis Taylor (C): 6/10

Comfortable defensively but not a lot going forward from him, did have an effort saved after cutting inside in the first half.

Luke Bell: 7/10

A really composed display in the middle of defence, dominated in the air.

Henry Fieldson: 7/10

Read the game well with some important blocks and interceptions.

Olly Bainbridge: 7/10

Always quick to get forward to support Watson on the left wing and combined well with him.

Marshall Burke: 7/10

Loves putting a foot in but also protected the defence well while being composed on the ball.

Ben Middlemas: 7/10

Followed up Kelly's ball to smash home the equaliser, got forward often to support attacks with Burke sitting.

Harrison Jones: 6/10

A quieter game by his usual standards but linked up play between midfield and attack and worked hard closing down.

Caden Kelly: 9/10

A bit of a quiet half but was given more freedom to roam away from the right wing in the second half and was a lot more involved, getting three assists.

Tommy Watson: 8/10

Always a big threat down the left, driving at the Wolves right back whenever he got the ball. Got a well deserved goal with a good finish for the third and set up Tutierov for the fourth.

Trey Ogunsuyi: 7/10

Had to work really hard to compete physically with the big Wolves defenders but stuck at it, held the ball up well and got a goal after getting on the end of Kelly's backheel.

Substitutes

Tom Lavery: 6/10

Came on for Bainbridge while the lads were completely on top.

Timur Tutierov: 6/10

Only on for a few minutes but made one good run that set up Kelly for a shot and then got on the end of Watson's cross for the fourth.

Joe Ryder: N/A

Came on in injury time as we saw out the game.

Jaydon Jones: N/A

Came on in injury time as we saw out the game.

Man of the Match: Caden Kelly

Started off quietly on the right wing as most of our best play came down the left but got freedom to roam in the second half and used it to great effect, setting up the first three Sunderland goals. The first when he stepped inside and found Middlemas, the second when he backheel a great ball into the path of Ogunsuyi in the box and then a first time cross to find the free Watson on the edge of the box.
