Moroccan star seeking new challenge

According to reports in the media, Moroccan star Sofyan Amrabat will be looking for a new challenge when his loan deal at Manchester United expires.

Currently on loan from Fiorentina, it is believed that Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag will not sign the African star on a permanent basis. The 27-year-old joined the English giants as a high-profile acquisition ahead of the 2023/24 campaign but struggled to adapt to the rigors of the Premier League.

According to football journalist Matteo Moretto, Amrabat will now explore his options going forward while Fiorentina will assist the midfielder in his exit at the end of the season.

"As we reported earlier in the year, he will have to return to Italy, as he will not remain at Manchester United beyond the end of the season," Moretto wrote in his column for the Daily Briefing, as per Caught Offside.

"Then Fiorentina will look for an exit for him as well. There will be teams that take an interest in him, and he will be one of the names we hear about during the summer transfer window.

"But he won't stay at Fiorentina. He has done well in Italy, above all at Verona, and he is on the hunt for a new club. It will depend on the offers he has."
