David Moyes is expected to leave West Ham United at the end of this season and Julen Lopetegui is in contention to replace him at the Premier League side.

On Friday, AS stated West Ham are in talks with the 57-year-old and the conversations between the two parties will continue.

It was also stated AC Milan have contacted the Spaniard again, to find out if they can resume talks.

Earlier claims stated that Lopetegui favours a move to the Serie A side, but it's no longer the case. That's according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who also discuss West Ham's interest in him.

Lopetegui had meetings with the Italian club and initially agreed a deal worth €3m per year plus bonuses. This was before Milan's U-turn as he isn't seen as a suitable coach by their fans. They want a top name manager, but the Rossoneri are struggling with finances.

Therefore, TMW state the former Sevilla manager 'travels to West Ham'. It’s claimed the two parties are 'quite positive of the possibility of closing the deal' for two years, with an option for another year, worth €4m per season, with bonuses taking it to €5m.

Lopetegui has been without a job since leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers last August and can return to the Premier League if he can reach an agreement with West Ham.
