Chelsea have been terrible this season.

There are no two ways about it, the Blues have been awful this term and their 6-0 loss to Arsenal this week only served to underline how poor the London club have been.

There have been a number of Chelsea player who've underperformed this season, but perhaps the worst of the bunch has been Mykhaylo Mudryk.

The Ukrainian has been in England for 18 months now after his £88m move from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea, and to say that he has underdelivered would be putting it lightly.

Mudryk, famously, almost joined Arsenal instead of Chelsea in that fateful January transfer window, and speaking on the Premier League All Access Podcast, Scott Minto has suggested that Mudryk would've been much better if he'd joined the Gunners.

Mudryk would've been better at Arsenal

Minto shared his verdict on the winger.

"The only thing I would say to that is that if Mykhaylo Mudryk had gone into Arsenal he'd have been going into great conditions, a great environment and maybe he'd be doing the same sorts of numbers Trossard is," Minto said.

Mudryk can't have been this bad

Whether or not Mudryk would've proven to be a hit at Arsenal is up for debate – you have to be fantastic to justify such a massive transfer fee.

However, there is one thing we'd say with confidence, he couldn't have been this bad.

Indeed, this Chelsea side isn't set up for anyone to succeed – unless your name is Cole Palmer, while Mikel Arteta has shown time and time again that he can get the best out of his players, even if they are unfancied.

Mudryk must seriously regret joining Chelsea, and perhaps if he had joined Arsenal instead his career would've followed a completely different trajectory.
