Real Madrid player to bid farewell in last game at Santiago Bernabeu

Real Madrid will again celebrate their title this evening at the Santiago Bernabeu against Alaves, presenting the trophy to their fans in the stadium. It will be a bittersweet evening for one player though.
With nothing riding on the match this evening, Carlo Ancelotti will play Kepa Arrizabalaga this evening, as per Diario AS. The 29-year-old arrived on loan from Chelsea in August to replace the injured Thibaut Courtois, and played 19 games, recording 8 clean sheets and conceding nine games, but following an injury in October, lost his place to Andriy Lunin, and never got it back.
Ancelotti appreciates the attitude that Kepa has shown during his time though, and wants to give him a final game at the Bernabeu as a token of his appreciation. The Spanish international had declared that he would like to stay at Real Madrid beyond the end of the season, but he will return to Chelsea in June.
Lunin is set to extend his deal with Real Madrid shortly, signing a new four-year deal that will increase his value on the market, and provide Thibaut Courtois with competition for the starting spot. The Belgian goalkeeper has a contract until 2026, and it does not look like they will look for an alternative even if Lunin leaves, with promising goalkeepers coming through.
