Portsmouth boss John Mousinho is an admirer of Blackpool loan star Karamoko Dembele, a report from The News has revealed.

Portsmouth are heading for the Championship and while they built a squad capable of winning the League One title last summer, they face another busy couple of months ahead of the next campaign.

The step up from the third to the second-tier is a big one to make. As a result, Pompey will need new signings if they’re to find joy in a higher league after their title triumph.

It hasn’t taken long for transfer speculation to arise and hopefully, those at Fratton Park will be able to get some new faces through the door early into the transfer window.

Now, a new name admired by manager Mousinho has emerged in fresh reports.

The News states that the Portsmouth boss is an admirer of Blackpool loan star Karamoko Dembele, who has lit up League One in a starring stint away from French side Stade Brestois.

Often deployed in an attacking midfield role, Dembele has managed nine goals and 14 assists in 47 games for the Tangerines. He looks destined for a step up in competition next season with all of Everton, Nottingham forest, West Ham, Fulham, Brentford, Wolves, Leicester City, Southampton, Leeds United and Middlesbroughlinked in March.
