Portsmouth have offered Marlon Pack a new contract, as detailed on their retained list.

Portsmouth have lodged fresh terms to the midfielder ahead of next season along with defender Connor Ogilvie.

Pack, 33, sees his current deal expire at the end of June and he is due to become a free agent as things stand.

Pompey have confirmed on their official club website that Sean Raggett, Joe Rafferty, Lee Evans, Josh Martin, Matt Macey, Ryan Schofield, Haji Mnoga, Harry Jewitt-White, Liam Vincent and Josh Dockerill will be leaving, whilst Joe Morrell and Zak Swanson remain in talks.

Portsmouth offer deal to midfielder

Pack provides Portsmouth with more competition and depth in the middle of the park.

He also injects experience into their ranks which would be useful as they prepare for life in the Championship.

However, his game time may dry up next term if they bring in other players in his position so he has a big decision to make regarding his future.

Pack started his career at local side Portsmouth and rose up through their academy ranks before going on to make two appearances for them as a youngster, as well as having loan spells away at Dagenham and Redbridge, Wycombe Wanderers and Cheltenham Town to get some experience under his belt.

He then left on a permanent basis in 2011 to join the latter and then went on to play for Bristol City and Cardiff City before Pompey re-signed him in 2022.

Pack has since played 76 games since going back to Fratton Park and has scored eight goals.

However, it remains to be seen whether he will be sticking around as they gear up for life in the league above.

Portsmouth are keen to keep him, hence why he has been offered an extension, but he needs to weigh up his options.

John Mousinho has had to be ruthless with his retained list and it is a surprise to see Raggett and Rafferty depart especially.
