The latest Grimsby Town team news as David Artell’s side gear up to face Newport County in League Two.

Grimsby Town head into their upcoming clash on the back of their 1-1 draw with Bradford City last time out.

The Mariners are positioned in 21st place in the League Two table.

They are two points above the relegation zone with six fixtures of the season left to play.

Striker Danny Rose is back fit for Grimsby Town which is a boost and he played against Bradford City last time out.

However, left-back Denver Hume is suspended after he got a red card in their last outing. Goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright also went off and will need to be assessed.

In midfield, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Hull City loanee Harry Wood come into the team alongside Gavan Holohan and Curtis Thompson to provide some fresh legs.

Rose is back which is positive news for Grimsby Town as they aim to rise away from the bottom two.

Artell has a decision to make between Donovan Wilson and Coventry City loan man Justin Obikwu but I can see him going for the pace and power of the latter.
