The latest Wrexham team news as Phil Parkinson’s side gear up to face Crewe Alexandra in League Two.

Wrexham are already promoted to League One following their 6-0 win at home to Forest Green Rovers last time out.

The Red Dragons will be joined in the third tier by Stockport County and Mansfield Town.

They have a big summer ahead as they look to prepare for life in the division as they continue their rise up the leagues.

Starting XI

Okonkwo, Bolton, Cleworth, Tozer, O’Connor, McClean, Cannon, Evans, Davies, Mullin, Marriott

This game is an ideal opportunity for Wrexham to make some changes and perhaps give some of their fringe players the chance to show what they can do.

Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo has impressed in this campaign and is due to return to his parent club this summer. However, his contract with the Gunners expires in late June.

Luke Bolton could come in for Ryan Barnett at right wing-back. The ex-Manchester City man joined in January from Salford City.

Max Cleworth and Tom O’Connor may keep their place in the starting XI and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the experienced Ben Tozer given the nod for this one.

James McClean is in line to make his 525th career appearance, with Callum McFadzean pushing for a start in his place.

Jordan Davies may be given some minutes to freshen things up along with Andy Cannon and George Evans. The latter had a loan spell at Crewe Alexandra as a youngster.

Up front, Paul Mullin has 25 goals in all competitions this season, whilst Jack Marriott got his first last weekend and will be looking to build on that now. The likes of Sam Dalby, Ollie Palmer and Steven Fletcher are other options to Parkinson.
